TODAY…the incredible freedom from seizure clusters continues!
Who could have ever thought that when medication after medication failed that one surgery could CURE me? I am astounded, and absolutely over the moon with happiness!
I have been waiting *so long* to make posts like this. Six weeks! Without a single seizure! And I’m beginning to feel like a healthy woman again.
Tomorrow I begin the trek to Tucson for my follow-ups with the neurologist and neurosurgeon on Thursday, this time with good news for a change.
Giddy with excitement, and strangely proud that I haven’t had any seizures, as if this is somehow MY accomplishment…😊
I am prepared with thank you cards for my surgeon, neurologist, and nursing staff, and only wish I could truly express my appreciation, but words will have to suffice.
Onward and upward! No seizures, back in the gym, my hair is growing out (a very dark auburn, and grays have disappeared – a new mystery to solve!), and now the beginnings of energy returning- my old self of returning to me, day by day, and stronger is my mantra.
(edit: scratch that – the grays have NOT disappeared, I just wasn’t looking hard enough. And a hairdresser friend of mine reminded me that I colored my hair darker auburn before the surgery…hence the very dark color, but lighter red roots. My memory seems to be lightly toasted. 🙂 )
Now it’s time to get on American Ninja Warrior or something. Fun! 😉😂💪
